UNDERWATER CLASS INSPECTION REPORT

Bow: The shell plating on the bow was found in good condition. Weld profiles were good and marine growth was minimal, around a 20% coverage of soft algal growth. Paint coating is largely in -tact with isolated areas of top coat loss. Primer or base coat was visible underneath and no active corrosion was found. Echo sounder was located and clear of fouling
Vertical sides: The vessel’s vertical sides are in good condition with no deformation to the shell plating. Weld joints were all good and paint coating was also good with isolated areas of top coat detachment. Soft marine growth was found to cover about 30% of the total area.
Flat bottom: The shell plating of the flat bottom is in good condition with no indication of indentations/set up to the shell plating. No bare metal was visible.
Bilge keels: The vessels sectional bilge keels were found in good condition.
Propeller: 4 bladed fixed propeller was found in good condition with no deflection, damage, or cavitation found on any of the blades. The suction faces were found to have an 80% coverage of soft marine growth, densest towards the root. Pressure side around 50% soft marine growth with isolated barnacles around the roots. Rope guard in good condition. No sign of oil leakage. No debris fouling or mechanical damage was encountered. Bolted rope cutters were all present, with good clearances.
Sea chest gratings: Found in good condition with bolts in position.
Rudder: The rudder was found in good condition with no damage to the plating or the underside. Bottom drain plug was present and secure. All radiuses were substantial and with no signs of cracking or deformation.
