CASE STUDY DESCRIPTION
Vessel reported ingress of water, Damage was pinpointed on stbd curve bilge tank where existing hole with diam. 8cm was found closed with block wood.Cleaning of holed area and perimeter,ultrasonic thickness measurements in order to find sufficient shell plate thickness to support the welding, Welding on DP of diam. 40 X 45 cm at 6mm shell plate thickness and filling perimeter with underwater epoxy resin in order to close any possible pores.
