Due to grounding on rocks, a cargo vessel was found with excessive damage and anchored as a necessary solution in a tourist area. The damage was found on the bulbous bow, with a crack and rip measuring 3 meters in length. Additionally, another crack measuring 1.5 meters was found under the bow thruster room. Temporary waterproofing was carried out using double plates to enable the vessel to safely reach dry dock. The repair was approved by port authorities and the vessel’s classification society.
