During the vessel’s underwater inspection, a 190mm crack was discovered along the pressure side of blade “a” on the four-blade pitch propeller. In situ decision-making led the diving team, following surveyors’ instructions, to strategically place two drilled stoppers beyond the crack to prevent its further expansion.
